Mr and Mrs Willis This was such a beautiful, amazing place to visit for our minimoon. We arrived the day of our wedding and could not have asked for anything else. The whole atmosphere the scenery was just gorgeous. Got to see alot of wildlife here the peacocks were beautiful. Richard as a host was just amazing he welcomed us with some extras which just added to the minimoon. We could not fault anything.this place is highly recommended we will be back next year for sure

Relaxinv Retreat Just returned from a fantastic few days in Woodpecker Lodge at Woody Park. An amazing relaxing retreat. A luxury lodge with all the mod cons and loads of extras cream tea on arrival, champagne, chocolates, flowers and lots more. Hot Tub is lovely overlooking the hubby fishing at one of the many lakes. Woody Park is very isolated so you feel relaxed and away from everything. This was our 1st visit and it will not be our last. Cant wait to go back. Thank you Richard we had a great time

Stay at the Kingfisher Lodge at Woody Park Stayed a delightful 3 nights at the Woodpecker Lodge with my fiance and couldn't fault it whatsoever - champagne, chocolates, fresh eggs, fresh scones with clotted Cornish cream with lovely strawberry jam were all stocked on arrival. The lodge is very comfortable and has a great massage chair and all facilities are of a high standard. Directly outside is a small lake which provides lovely views from the lodge - and be prepared to make a new friend with the local chicken. The hot tub is large and keeps good temperature and is a great to relax in after a busy day and when you finished you can enjoy both the wooden burning fire and comfortable high bed and linen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return its a great place to get away from everything.

Highly recommend I would highly recommend visiting Woody Park. Richard and Pang really looked after us. We stayed at kingfishers lodge. It is the perfect place to relax. The hot tub overlooks the lake and it’s a great place to relax and watch the wildlife. The rowing boat is also great to explore the lake.

Amazing Place Just spent 5 days at Woody Park and have to say how amazing it was! Not far from the M5 motorway yet once you are there you feel like you are a million miles from anywhere it’s so secluded and peaceful! We stayed in Kingfisher which is on its own little island and extremely secluded. On arrival we were greeted with a cream tea, box of chocolates and a bottle of champagne on ice, what more could you want as a welcome!! Sky tv including sports and movie channels, massage chair, hot-tub, fast speed WiFi, your own rowing boat which was good fun going out on the lake and the kitchen again has everything you would need. It was brilliant seeing all the lovely wildlife from the birds that feed off the feeders hung up around the outside of the lodge, the ducks and geese wandering around who appreciate being fed, to chickens and squirrels and more. Fantastic venue, superbly looked after by Richard and Pang who are brilliant hosts and very helpful. We will definitely return!

Fantastic Place Recently returned from our 10th visit to Woody Park, over the past 9 years. We stayed in Kingfishers again, the lodge on it's own island. What a place to relax and unwind. Surrounded by water, trees and wildlife and in almost total seclusion. Only three lodges and the owners house, on the 35 acre site and all spaced well away from each other, so you feel like you're completely on your own. We fished mostly, but if you're looking for a romantic break, or just seclusion and quiet, we would highly recommend it. Since we've been going, Colin and Enid have retired and passed the business on to their son Richard and his wife Pang, but the standards have not dropped. Brilliant place.

Wonderful retreat Me and my husband have just returned from a short stay at Kingfishers which is set out on its own island. It is everything you need if you want to recluse yourself from society for a while and relax. The hosts Richard and Pang are so welcoming and friendly a hard working family that created the site is very inspiring. The lodge is immaculate - nothing shoddy or tacky. We arrived to fluffy robes a log burner alongside a massage chair, chilled champagne, chocolates, flowers and cream tea. The hot tub is lovely, clean and looking out over the lake. It’s very romantic too. You get to see great wildlife and is in a perfect setting. You’ll feel as though you’re in another country it is that unique. We shall be returning for sure. The only downside is coming back to reality! Thank you for a lovely pleasant stay.

What a gem! We love somewhere a bit different and what could fit the bill better than a lodge on your very own island! Woody Park is an extraordinary creation in the Devon countryside. A collaboration between human vision and perseverance with Mother Nature filling in the blanks. A few lodges set in a beautiful lake complex (you wouldn’t know any of the other accommodation was even there) giving a real sense of seclusion. The lodge itself is spotless, wonderfully finished and oozes a unique and special atmosphere. Loads of fantastic touches, the hot tub, character lighting and quality fixtures give rise to a superb romantic get away. All of this would be lovely in itself but the hospitality and engagement from Richard and Pang make this the occasion it deserves to be! Go on.... treat yourself! You will be so glad you did!!

Pure relaxation My husband and I have stayed in a few similar cottages/log cabins with a hot tub and log burner, but Woody Park offers much more. It’s peaceful and quiet, surrounded by woodland and lakes, and it makes you feel as though you are the only visitors. The cabin was extremely clean with soft, fluffy towels and luxurious bedding on a superking, very comfortable bed. A fully equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge with log burner, recliner sofa and an amazing massage chair. On our arrival we were greeted with a cream tea, chocolates and Champagne. The hot tub outside was under cover, which I prefer, and was so lovely on a chilly December evening. This place ticked all of our boxes, especially as it was for adults only. There’s a lot of thought that goes into the cabin for a luxurious stay. We will definitely be visiting again

Beautiful! We recently stayed at WoodPeckers Cabin for a long weekend and cannot express how beautiful it was. We were greeted with lovely chocolates, champagne, scones and tea which was all delicious and a lovely added gesture. There was also fresh chicken eggs which we had for breakfast and the kitchen is fully equipped and a picnic basket provided! You get your own rowing boat, which thankfully, was extremely sturdy. We enjoyed making use of this every day and particularly enjoyed our sunset adventures. There is always lots of ducks in the lakes, unfortunately we didn’t take a fishing rod but you can. The hot tub is heaven, in such a peaceful location it was the best way to relax and make the most of the short time we had. Having said that, we originally booked for 3 nights but extended the trip by an extra night because we were not ready to leave and go back to the hussle and bustle of every day life. The added touch of coloured lights also set the scene for a relaxing, romantic soak. The hosts were lovely and welcoming on arrival and extremely helpful throughout our stay and easy to contact. Would thoroughly recommend. This was truly a memorable trip and we will be returning at some point in the future. Since sharing our photos with family and friends we have had lots of keen interest to visit also!
